Beverly Hills Diet
How Does It Work?
Initially, Beverly Hills Diet was a book that was originally published by Judy Mazel in
1981. Lately, it has been re-released after revision as the New Beverly Hills Diet. The
diet stated in Beverly Hills Diet is based on a theory that one's body needs enzymes
that are found in only certain foodstuffs in order to digest other foodstuff properly. The
author of Beverly Hills Diet believes that when food is not digested properly, it turns
into body fat. This of course is a strange belief, but true. This is because, the body
cannot metabolize food consumed till it has been digested.

Pros/Cons
People who are not much concerned about their calorie restriction can eat a wide
variety of food and still Beverly Hills Diet would work. However, the results of the
Beverly Hills Diet are questionable. This is so because one might lose weight at first,
but this process of rapid weight loss could end in certain health complications.
Beverly Hills Diet is quite low in protein and also misses out on certain necessary
nutrients and vitamins.

Pricing
The price of Beverly Hills Diet ranges from $10 to about $12. As this book is not very
expensive, everyone can purchase it. One can now easily follow a diet even after a
stringent budget and yet stay healthy. The diet suggest by Judy in her book has
worked miracles for people who wish to just get back to that perfect shape. One need
not go for any expert's advice as they would charge much higher fees.

Does It Work?
Yes, it works. The therapy used by Judy Mazel is correct. However, it is opposed by
some. The diet is based on the principle of food combining called as conscious
combining. The prime food group of this diet is fruit. However, the diet has fruit only
days, vegetable only days, and some other days when some starchy carbohydrates
are also allowed. At this 35 days diet program, one would eat crabs only with crabs
and proteins with only proteins and so on. This is so because, Judy Mazel strongly
believes that the body uses specific enzymes for digestion of food and when one
mixes foods, the body has difficulties in breaking down the food. She strongly
believes that fat is a symptom of digestion. When digestion takes place properly, one
shall surely see a reduction in the body fat.

Final Summary
It needs to be noted that Judy Mazel doesn't have nutritional credentials as her
theories are not accepted by the experts in the industry. She suggests that the
enzymes cannot breakdown the combined foodstuffs easily and turning them into fats
is been denied by some of other experts as they have to say that a body cannot
absorb food that is not broken down. It is only that these unbroken foodstuffs are
turned into fat. This diet works for some, while some avoid it as it is quite definitive.
One can follow it, but one should not stick to it for lifetime. The results shown by this
diet are fantastic with most of the people.
